Chopper Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Beach
An aircraft soaring above a well-attended southern California shoreline suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, finally descending rapidly and smashing into a cluster of palm trees as onlookers observed.
Footage posted on social media depict the helicopter starting to spin near the shoreline then descending in the direction of the border of the coast, where it gets stuck amidst palm groves and a set of stairs close to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Details
Local firefighters stated five people were taken to hospital including two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the accident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Details on their condition were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
