Magyar Writer László Krasznahorkai Wins the Nobel Prize in Literary Arts
László Krasznahorkai has won the Nobel Prize in Literary Arts.
The Hungarian author was recognised "for his powerful and prophetic collection that, during cataclysmic dread, reaffirms the power of art."
He has produced 5 novels and garnered many other literary honors, for instance the 2015's Booker International, and the 2013 top rendered novel prize in Fiction for his initial novel "Satantango", a contemporary work concerning the conclusion of the world.
Krasznahorkai is the 2nd Hungarian novelist to obtain the honor after the late Imre Kertesz, who won in the year 2002.
Originating in 1954, László Krasznahorkai gained acclaim in 1985 when he published Satantango, which he transformed for the movies in 1994.
This b&w film, by Hungarian director Tarr Bela, is notable for its seven-hour duration.

The Nobel Prize in Literature portrayed him as "a exceptional grand writer in the Central European tradition that spans by way of Franz Kafka to Thomas Bernhard, and is marked by the absurd and distorted overindulgence."
The author's 2021 novel Herscht 07769 has been called as a major present-day German novel, due to its exactness in portraying the nation's communal turmoil prior to the pandemic.
It's a depiction of a modern village in Thüringen, Deutschland, plagued by societal chaos, homicide and arson.
"Gentle titan Florian is an ward, taken in by a neo-Nazi who has apprenticed him as a street art remover.

A critique noted it as "accordingly bleak from start to end."
Krasznahorkai's newest satirical novel, Zsömle Odavan, returns to Hungary.
The protagonist is ninety-one-year-old Józsi Kada, who has a confidential claim to the royal seat but has made every effort to disappear from the globe.
