Soccer Star Welsh Athlete Ramsey Boosts Incentive for Lost Pet in Mexican Territory to $$20k
Welsh soccer player Aaron Ramsey has boosted the reward for information regarding the lost pet Halo to $20,000.
Ex- Arsenal and Cardiff midfielder, who currently plays for Pumas UNAM in Mexico City, revealed that Halo was spotted in a Mexican town, located in the Guanajuato state area.
The beagle, who disappeared on October 9th, was wearing a dog tracker collar, and Ramsey posted a Google maps location of the spot she vanished from.
"Any sort of news about our beloved Halo kindly contact us. Big reward for locating her. We are all praying she is safe and can be back with us soon," the athlete wrote on Instagram.
Earlier Bounty and Emotional Pleas
Ramsey first announced that his dog had gone missing a fortnight back and has subsequently shared multiple pictures of the beloved dog on Instagram.
A $10,000 bounty was initially offered, but with lack of updates on the dog's location after a week, Ramsey and his loved ones doubled the reward.
"We just want our girl home," he said in an additional plea on his online platforms after the elderly pet was lost.
The latest picture upload is a monochrome snapshot of the beagle snoozing, its head lying in the curve of Ramsey's elbow, with the message: "What I wouldn't give to hold you once more Halo."
Household's Worries and Context
Ramsey has additionally shared a statement from his wife Colleen on online channels indicating they have some "serious concerns" about the disappearance and fear the household "may never get answers".
"To this day we haven't found our dog. I don't think we ever will," his wife's update stated.
The Welsh leader signed with Mexico's premier club Pumas UNAM earlier this year and made his inaugural match in Liga MX in August.
