Woman Taken into Custody After Alleged Gas Supply Sabotage at Two Metropolitan Hospitals
A woman has been arrested following hospital gas systems reportedly tampered with at two metropolitan hospitals.

Sutherland Hospital in the city's southern suburbs lost critical gas supplies on early Tuesday, forcing staff to transition to mobile gas alternatives as part of their contingency plans, according to medical authorities.
"This incident behind the disruption of gases appears to be intentional interference," authorities stated.
They further emphasized that "{To reportedly commit such acts represents extreme recklessness. The potential for disastrous consequences."
Law Enforcement Response
Law enforcement confirmed receiving notifications of "suspected intentional damage at two hospitals in the Caringbah area." It's understood that the other facility was a local private medical center.
Authorities claim a 42-year-old woman entered the grounds of a hospital on Kareena Road premises at around 12:20 AM on Tuesday and "cut both the water and gas mains, before activating emergency water systems."
They further alleged that at approximately 1:30 AM, "the woman accessed the property of another hospital on the same street ... and allegedly switched off the primary gas supply."
She was arrested in the Miranda area at approximately 4:00 AM on Tuesday morning for violating bail conditions, police confirmed.
Hospital Response
Health officials confirmed that gas systems were restored by hospital teams and local health district "within approximately two hours."
"Let me reassure the public there was no impact to medical services and that the facility has resumed normal operations as per normal," officials announced.
They added that "Entry to gas systems in NSW public hospitals is limited to authorized personnel. An investigation will examine the situation to see what improvements can be implemented."
Authorities revealed that the woman reportedly scaled a wall at Sutherland hospital and entered to a restricted area.
